
Anthony David Gonzalez was born on the 27th of February, 1976. He is an American football tight end. He played for 17 seasons with the National Football League. Gonzalez is believed to be one of the greatest tight ends of all time. Gonzalez holds the NFL record for receiving yards as well as receptions as a tightener. In addition, he is third in overall receptions. Gonzalez was drafted in the first round by the Kansas City Chiefs. He played his first 12 seasons with the team. The last five seasons being with the Falcons, he was a part of the Atlanta Falcons. Since retiring in 2013 Gonzalez has worked as an analyst for football on NFL on Prime Video and was previously at CBS Sports and Fox Sports.Gonzalez finished his career with fourteen Pro Bowl selections, the highest number for a tight end and second in the history of the league, in addition to receiving six All-Pros on the first team. Known for his durability and his infrequent fumbling, Gonzalez appeared in 270 of 272 regular season games and only lost two fumbles over 1,327 touch. In the year 2019, he was admitted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
