AJ Michalka was born in Torrance, Calif. Her mother Carrie, also a musician, encouraged her to take up the profession of musician. AJ Michalka was raised in Torrance, California. Her mother Carrie was a talented musician. AJ spent the majority of her early years in Torrance as well as Seattle and Milwaukee. The sisters were able to play piano and guitar in the early years. When they entered into the teen years, they were well-versed in their domain. AJ was acting when she was the age of 5 and participated in productions at church.
